Love Under My Nails

Today I made love under my nails.

The Boy and I made the pea frames.

I planted one 12 foot row of pea seeds.

A found some winter-mulched carrots in the bargain. I roasted the carrots with some red potatoes and chicken which was served with a salad of romaine, onion and some baby dandelion greens that were also a garden bargain.

Then the rain began to fall, sweet, soft and gentle. The peas are happy and so am I.

That's what I made today. Peace.

What a great post Rose!
I so love working in my little garden. Soon it will be too hot here for sugar peas but I am enjoying them now.
Love your pea frames!!

I'll wager the carrots were wonderful. Nothing beats what comes from your own garden. This is my first visit to your site so I've taken some time to look around. I really enjoyed the time I spent here and I plan to return. You've created a lovely spot for your readers to visit. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

There are few things in life finer than garden dirt under the nails. I love the waiting look of your garden...the sleepy neutral colors and quietness of it. Can't wait to see the baby peas!

Isn't that the greatest feeling though?! Dirt under your fingernails and hands in the earth :)

It looks like you had quite a productive day!

And those carrots O.O Look at the size of those things!! What a great surprise :)

Thank you all for your sweet comments!

I planted a row of beets today. I little early, perhaps, but they can tolerate light frosts, so I'm keepin' a Good Thought!

And Mary, those carrots were amazingly delicious. We nibbled a couple of sticks raw and roasted the rest. I finished them off with this morning's breakfast. Yum!

Keep smiling, everyone!
